Do they have to be stallions?
No, it is open to any registered purebred Arabian mare, gelding or stallion

Do they have to be alive?
No, they can be deceased but alive within the last 10 years to be relevant

Is this only for the USA?
No, any purebred Arabian anywhere can be listed

Is this advertising?
While your horse will get exposure to people and your contact info included, this is more about documentation of the horses alive today. Less and less farms and people are using print advertisements, and these have generally been what our reference materials originate from. So with social media, the problem arises, if you don't know of a horse or a farm's existence you will never get to see the results of that farm!

Why are you doing this?
The Arabian horse has long been an obsession of mine since early childhood being gifted tons of Arabian Horse World magazines. I read the articles and learned the bloodlines and I treasured them. The days of print media are behind us and the costs to place ads in breed magazines is hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars. This excludes a huge portion of the Arabian horse population for documentation as these magazines used to provide. But even at that, the horses we know of are the ones owned by people with advertising budgets.

So... I chose to make this as affordable as possible, paying myself a reasonable hourly rate for the work of inputting each horse, editing write ups and submitting proof, each horse takes 1 to 2 hours of my time and that is why inclusion is not free with the exception of the the FREE DIY options are available for those who can help with the workload. This reduces my labor greatly and is a great way to participate using "sweat equity."

Is the book purchase included?
No, until I have a total of pages I do not know yet what the books will cost, so I am not comfortable offering that. When the books are available it will be announced and they can be purchased in hard back, soft back and ebook formats

I want to list my whole farm, is there discounts?
Yes, I do offer multi horse discounts.

When is the deadline for submission?
September 30th 2024

I haven't shown my horse, is that necessary?
No, absolutely not, a show record is nice to have but isn't required to be a part of this project.

I don't have professional photos, can I still participate?
As long as your photos are presentable, yes. If you need me to take a look before you pay, message me your photos for review.
